Live Free or Die Hard

Hey guys, just getting back into the movie scene and wanted to start with one of the hottest movies of the summer. This movie was awesome! In my opinion, I think it was one of the best movies yet in the sequel and for 2007 summer movie line-up. I guess I am just a Bruce Willis fan but, let’s not forget Justin Long, who played a great supporting role. Live Free or Die Hard was well worth the time and money. In fact, the only problem I had was not being able to see it sooner. I hope you guys enjoyed it as much as I did. For those of you who still waiting for the DVD, go check it out now, you won’t regret it.

Transformers The Movie

The hottest movie of the summer is near. I honestly believe that Transformers will be one of the best movies ever. I am a huge fan of transformers and look forward to a mind blowing experience. The only problems I think I will have are the changes they made to some of the characters such as megatron, Bumblebee, Starscream, and my man, Optimus Prime. They are look great however I was hoping to see more of the original comic characters. In any case, Transformers – The Movie is sure to be on my hit list. Hope you guys can get in on the action.

Denzel Washington - Dejavu

So what’s not to like when Denzel Washington is on the set? Although, I believe without his presence, the movie would be a flop his performance was great. Denzel brought the right chemistry to this film to make it worth seeing. Some may characterize it as “the most exciting, original adventure of the decade,” however I must disagree. Yes I loved the movie, but only because Denzel Washington was on the set. Without his skills, Dejavu would be just another five dollars DVD in the discount isles. I would give Dejavu three out of five stars. This movie will easily become a fans’ favorite considering Casino Royale is the only other action movie to compete with it. I do encourage you to see it and be your own judge about it.

James Bond Casino Royale

I saw the new James Bond (Casino Royale) movie and was quite impressed. My initial thoughts were very skeptical considering that I am a huge supporter of the old James Bond movies. This new reckless James Bond puts a spin on the entire character that is almost impossible to hate. The movie although lengthy met my expectation with action and drama from the beginning to end. I guess after an awarding winning performance by Daniel Craig, Eva Green and Judi Dench we can only look forward to the next generation of James Bond and his death defying stunts. Two thumbs ways up for the new James Bond, Casino Royale.

What about The Marine?

I saw “The Marine” and was not impress at all. This movie although it had some action which I love, did not really get me going. I like my action movies to make sense and keep my interest long before the fireworks and shooting begin. Of course it was about a chick, like many others but, I just did not find it remotely entertaining. In my opinion, I think John Cena should leave the acting to the pros. I think he tried to portray The Rock character too much and went overboard. Yes I would buy it from Walmart and yes I would probably download it after three months but, I wish I did not spend a penny watching this movie. The Marine gets two thumbs down, zero stars and I would definitely not recommend it to anyone until it was in the discount boxes at Walmart. For those of you that are dying to check it out, I hope you can see what I am referring to and then maybe agree The Marine should be nominated for “The Low Budget Movie of The Year”. Scary Movies this Halloween

It’s Halloween time again and of course you will find a few of the fan's favorite scary movies in theaters. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning opened 21 October and did not do very well as of date. I believe that they would be in better shape if the opening date was around the 28 October 2006, a few days before Halloween. Aonther scary movie opening this week is Saw III. Even though I have no plans to see it, I believe that it will do very well considering there are not many scary movie options in theaters. Instead of bring the old scary movies back and putting a different spin on the, don’t you think it would be better if they made a new movie and target the release date for Halloween? I do. Enough about scary movies, I am looking forward to Mission Impossible and other action movies coming to DVDs soon. What DVD release are you guys planning to buy this holidays?

The Prestige - Movies360

I saw the prestige tonight and I am not sure what to think about this movie. Even though I enjoy drama and suspense, I was a little bit lost in some parts of the movie. The movie was long and for a short moment I was getting restless in my seat. I did enjoy the ending and compared The Prestige with other magician movies that I have seen lately and I gave it two thumbs up. The reviews for The Prestige was very good and I was worried that it would be a flop however, I was surprise yet impress that it would live up to the remarks given by others. My biggest questions at this point would be, how can the cast pf Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale and Michael Caine out do themselves in the coming years?

Another movie in theaters is “Flags of Our Fathers”. I cannot bring myself to see this movie being a former solider of the US Army. I will try and muster up the courage to see it or wait for you guys to fill me in on the cast and your overall views. Borat another movie coming soon might be interesting however not my first choice for weekend comedy. It seems funny however, not my kind of funny. I am more of a Jim Carrey and Eddie Murphy kind of a comedy guy if you catch what I mean. Well got work to do so see you soon and let me know what movies you have seen lately. dBiz out!
